Laura was born and raised in Cologne as the child of a publisher and a journalist.
After her bachelor's degree in cultural studies and subsequent film studies at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne, Laura first worked as a producer on the feature-length film Zweite Hand. As a producer at augenschein Filmproduktion, she was then primarily responsible for the research and script development of mostly international feature films.
Laura has spent the last few years more or less in various writers' rooms, writing series for RTL+, Netflix, and ZDF Neo. Laura has worked as both head and staff writer. For the Rollenfang Lab project, she is also leading an inclusive writers' room in which a series pilot is being created.
